Memory Care Training Partner©

ProActive Memory Services, Inc is currently conducting NIH-funded research to develop an online training platform for direct care providers and families seeking long-term memory care options. Informed by feedback from direct care providers, our training platform empowers caregivers to deliver high-quality care, with the goal of improving job satisfaction, knowledge, and retention.

This online training platform includes:

o Comprehensive, self-paced courses designed to help caregivers develop
    practical skills
o A curated library of articles on specific topics to promote further
    knowledge in course topics
o Insights about how to promote and support behaviors in patients with
practical tips to try for caregiving
o Assessment of training along with certifications for courses completed

Who can participate?

We are interested in partnering with assisted living facilities and personal care agencies with locations in Utah and Illinois.  Partner organizations will identify professional care providers for participation in our study.

If you are interested in participating in our research or learning more about our project, please contact Chad Moffitt at:  chad@proactivememoryservices.com.

MemoryCarePartner©

We have developed a web-based service with mobile software application that incorporates the core tenets of Proactive Dementia Care (PDC) in portable, tablet and smartphone) and desktop computer formats. MemoryCarePartner© provides users with up-to-date personalized information and resources throughout the entire span of the care journey – from the first signs of memory problems through end of life care. We extend access to these essential memory loss and dementia services to a broader audience, particularly to underserved communities and individuals living in rural areas and lack access to specialized memory care diagnosis and management professionals.

We are currently working on several additional projects which will expand use of our platform to provide essential dementia care training to staff of assisted living and long-term care facilities, and provide family caregivers with the guidance and information they need to optimize their legal and financial planning for an adult with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia.
